8 Kenyan bloggers for essential travel reading

I thought I’d give a little shout out to my favorite Kenyan bloggers that focus on travel.  There are some really cool bloggers in Kenya who are doing things a little differently to The Expat Mummy, from the Kenyan Camper and his frankly epic camping trips to the stunning Kenyan photography of In Out Nairobi. Some of these Kenyan blogs take you out of the country to explore the rest of Africa and further, and some are rooted firmly here in Kenya giving you an abundance of factual and necessary information for travel in and around Kenya.

The best Kenya blogger – The Kenyan Camper

https://thekenyancamper.com/

One of my absolute favourite Kenyan bloggers. He writes really well, takes excellent photos and goes to some real off the beaten track destinations and its all camping which I adore. The Kenyan Camper tops the Kenyan blogs list, although he’s been quiet of late. Let’s hope some more Kenyan travel blogs appear soon.

In Out Nairobi

The most beautiful Kenyan blog, the author is a photographer and her pictures are amazing.  I could spend all day wallowing in the beauty of her photography and love it when her Instagram photos pop up in my feed.

Kemzy Kemzy

An informative blog on Kenya and Nairobi.  The author gets to parts of town that I don’t visit much and I love to see another side to Nairobi and a different slice of life.   She describes herself as a foodie and a travel addict and her blog certainly reflects this.

Safari 254 – African travel blog

Magical Kenya

https://www.magicalkenya.com

The Kenyan Tourist Board run Magical Kenya and how could I talk about Kenyan bloggers without them. Although not strictly a Kenyan blogger the site does have descriptions on most destinations in Kenya. Being the tourist board it also offers lots of factual information from how to get a visa, to how to travel to Nairobi, what to bring. where to go for medical help. A great central resource for newcomers to Kenya.

Kenyatali

https://kenyatalii.com/

A female solo traveller this one of the bloggers in Kenya that specifically targets women. Kenyatali gives a personal and female perspective on traveling in Africa.  The author gets out and about and visits places all over Kenya.  Kenyatali also offers tips on traveling on a budget. I love her attitude to travel, she believes that gender and the size of your wallet shouldn’t dictate the range of your travels. I’m all for that. Carpe Diem.

    thanks Nadine that is great!
and yet.. I love your blog! your writing is detailed, but not too much, so one can easily get the point and also explore for himself. Plus writing about adventures with your family gives us great perspective of what is suitable for us.
    Keep going!!
