A couple of months ago I decorated my kids bedrooms. The boys were sharing a room and my little girl
What follows is the result. Which is somewhere between car crash and childish fantasy. The kids like it at least.
The boy twin half

It was super simple just using masking tape & can of paint.
I used Dove Grey paint for the buildings.
Place the tape on the wall in the shape of buildings, I did draw mine first so I had an idea of what it would look like.
Paint within the tape, making sure not to go over the edge. It will need at least two coats.
When dry remove tape.
I added some little windows with a small paintbrush and some white paint.
Stuck some Batman stickers I’d bought here on the top, and framed some Avenger prints and this half of the room was done.
The girl twins half
I place the beds opposite sides of the room and Polly told me she wanted her wall to be pink. Her side
First I divided the room using masking tape and painted a dove grey strip along the wall.
Rather than painting the whole ‘girl’ side pink, I stuck with blocks of colour, so using masking tape I painted a pink block around the window.
I left a strip of the original grey and then painted the side wall pink.
Polly was insistent that she wanted stars in her room. So again using my trusty masking tape I created a large Dove Grey and white star.
I had a few decorations and some bunting to complete the look.
So one room; 6 colours: grey, blue, light grey, orange white and pink… not colours Id have planned to go together, but as long as the kids are smiling its ok by me.
Now off to make the former girls room into a Batman/Star Wars den… without having to repaint everything from scratch.
Any ideas.. let me know.
